Bikash Mondal died of poisoning in 2006.Immediately after that Debashis’s mother remarried and settled with her new family at Mathurapur abandoning the child.The child was being taken care of by his Grand Parents: Panchanan and Sandhya Mondal at Vill – Baghbari, P.S. Bhangar, Dist. 24 Parganas (South).Panchanan Mondal (Grand father) was mentally ill and subsequently left home and never came back.Sandhya Mondal has another son who was studying H.S. But he had to give up his studies to work in the paddy fields as a paid labourer to run the family.She also has a daughter who is married.The monthly income of the family is around Rs. 3000.00 per month. We have taken the responsibility to raise her grandson, Debashis, at our facility.
