6th Annual Function - Photo Gallery

The Annual Function of The Biswas Educational Foundation was held on 16th January 2014 from 5.30PM to 8.30PM at Dr. Triguna Sen Auditorium (Jadavpur University Campus) in the August presence of the Visionary of the foundation Dr. Nalinaksha Biswas, who had been contributing the sole financial support to this Organisation for Caring The Deprived & Destitute Street Orphans & the needy children.

Renowned Personalities from Various field of activities like Sports, Culture & Health were present on the occasion, as below :

Masudur Rehman (1st Asian Swimmer to cross English Channel)
Debdas Nandy (Everest Mountaineer - 2013)
Hiran Chatterjee (Film Actor Grownup from an Orphanage Home)
Sampurna Lahiri (Film actress)
Bhabani Prasad Majumdar (Poet)
Deep Mukhopadhyay (Poet)

were among the distinguished Guests who inaugurated the function with a noble way, by pouring water in the tub with a SAPLING. On this occasion, the Guests also Inaugurated the First Publishment of the Chidlren Picturised Calendar -2014 & the 4th Edition of the Bengali Magazine, 'AMI SUBARNALATA'.

The main attraction of the function was the live performance by the children of the foundation, mostly of whom were street orphans before being inducted. Recitation, Songs, Drama & Dance were the highlights of the presentation been performed by playing Harmonium & Tabla by the Children itself. A Documentary film on the daily activities & other future plans alongwith their induction process was also among the main highlights of the cultural evening. The program had an overall spectator around 325 nos., giving a House Full capacity of the Auditorium.
