Many students are first time learners in their families . Most parents are either agricultural workers, farmers, vegetable vendors or daily wagers in the locality.
Regular Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) are held for periodic counseling and educating parents, as most of them are engaged in agricultural or household work and they are not aware how to guide their child. This PTM has shown satisfactory results in the past few years.
At present there are 360 students enrolled in the school including 29 children of our Destitute Home.

Majority of the schools in this area are in Bengali medium (regional language) and when a student enrolls for higher studies which are mainly in English medium, it becomes difficult for them to understand as they are accustomed to studying in Bengali medium. Our children, being educated in English Medium, will not face this problem.
The children of our foundation are also attending this school free of cost and get the opportunity of pursuing their academic career in English medium.
This is a green school building. This "Green Concept" has been introduced by our visionary Dr. N Biswas. The school has been built to minimize the effect of external heat inside the building premises thereby eliminating the necessity of air conditioning in most section which in turn leads to lower power consumption & carbon emission.
